The following exercises provide vestibular (movement) and proprioceptive (deep pressure input/resistance)
input that is the 2 systems under-write postural control.

coordination.
This also helps the child to sit still for longer and concentrate as proprioceptive input (modulates the nervous
system.
Do the following activities for 1 – 3 minutes before doing writing/colouring or drawings tasks.
Crab-walking
Sit on your bum. Support self with arms and legs lifting bum in the air. Walk side-ways like a crab.
