Activity ideas for the holiday

Outside play – the most important part of the day
- Ball skills: kick a ball/catch a ball/bounce the ball/play hockey/play golf/throw a ball into a target/throw a ball against the wall and catch it
- Play on the jungle gym: crawl through the tunnel/climb up the slide/hang upside down/play on the monkey bars
- Play hide and side/play touchers
- Messy-play: cut the grass using scissors/cut flowers and make arrangement/cut leaves and make animals/bake mud cakes
- Swim
- Play in die sand pit
- Ride a bike/go-kart
- Roller-skate
- J-board
- Hopscotch
- Jump rope
- Jump trampoline
- Swim
- Croquet
- Plan and do an obstacle course
- Paint the fence/garage door using brushes and water
- Pull all the weeds from the flower beds
- Hit nails into wood/screw screws into wood
- Blow bubbles
- Draw on the cement part of the garage – use chalk
- Scavenger hunt
- Shoot marbles
- Ring toss: toss rings over a can
- Hoola-hoop
- Swing-ball
- Look at the figures/objects/shapes in the clouds
- Frisbee
- Sack-race: child places both feet and lower legs in a bag and has to jump like this
- Throw water balloons against the wall
- Egg-race: place an egg in a big spoon and race without the egg falling out of the spoon
- Shoot water guns
- Walk like different animals e.g. bear-walk/walk like a gorilla/walk like a lion/kick like a donkey
- Play on a slip-a-slid
- Throw beanbags through the opening in a ladder
- Going walks around the neighborhood/hiking trails

And before mommy goes crazy; let the kids have some screen-time and hide away in your own room with a good book and a glass of wine or coffee
